This document provides a welding procedure specification for welding low alloy steel pipes with thicknesses ranging from 3/4 to 2 inches. It specifies the welding processes, joint design, base and filler metals, preheat and interpass temperatures, welding parameters, and post weld heat treatment requirements. Key information includes: - The root pass will be completed with gas tungsten arc welding and subsequent passes with shielded metal arc welding. - Groove joints with a 37.5 degree bevel will be used. - Low hydrogen electrodes and gas shielding will be used. - Preheat and interpass temperatures must be maintained at a minimum of 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
