Mexico facts
Mexico is a Spanish speaking country
It is located in Central America, it borders USA,
Guatemala and Belize
The population of the country is 125,235,587 people
The capital is Mexico City and the largest are Ecatepec,
Guadalajara, Puebla and Juarez

Flora
There is many different types of plant in Mexico , for example : Barrel
Cactus, Evergreen Frangipani, Hot Lips SageMist Flower

Fauna
The is also many unusual types of Fauna in Mexico , some
are very exotic like :Cane Toad , Black Jungle Frog,
Mexican Mud Turtle , Mesoamerican Slider.

Climate
The Tropic of Cancer effectively divides the country into
temperate and tropical zones.
Land north of the twenty-fourth parallel experiences
cooler temperatures during the winter months. South of
the twenty-fourth parallel, temperatures are fairly
constant year round and vary solely as a function of
elevation.
This gives Mexico one of the world's most diverse weather
systems

Mexico geography
Mexico is bordered by the United States to the north and
Belize and Guatemala to the southeast.
Mexico is about one-fifth the size of the United States.
Baja California in the west is an 1,287-km peninsula that
forms the Gulf of California. In the east are the Gulf of
Mexico and the Bay of Campeche, which is formed by
Mexico's other peninsula, the Yucatn.
The centre of Mexico is a great, high plate, open to the
north, with mountain chains on the east and west and with
ocean-front lowlands beyond.

Food
Some of the traditional foods in Mexico are: Chilaquiles
which is the popular breakfast dish features lightly fried
corn tortillas cut into quarters and topped with green and
red salsa.
Tamales: were first developed for the Aztecs, Mayan and
Inca tribes who needed nourishing food on the go to take
into battle. Pockets of corn dough are stuffed with either a
sweet or a savoury feeling wrapped in banana leaves and
corn husks and steam.

Culture
The dominant religion is Catholicism and culutre events
are revolved around it such as Dia de los Muertos
The main language spoken is Spanish which the main
language for 92 % of the population
Independence Day, markes the countrys separation from
Spain in 1810
Mariachi is a band of musicians playing traditional music

Salma Hayek an actress
Tony Perry a musician

Mexico city
It has 21.2 million inhabitants
It was founded in 1325, as Tenochtitln by the Aztecs
Mexico City is built on a lake called Texcoco. The city is
constantly sinking and has sunk more than nine meters in
some areas over the last 100 years.
