Europa Moon

Europa is the second largest moon of Jupiter and is thought to have an underground ocean of liquid water beneath its icy surface. It was discovered in 1610 by Galileo Galilei. While far from Earth at over 18 months travel time, Europa may be habitable due to the potential for simple life forms to exist near hydrothermal vents on the seafloor of its subsurface ocean, powered by tidal heating from Jupiter's gravity. Any future human exploration of Europa would need to address challenges like its very low temperatures around -170 degrees Celsius and lack of atmosphere.

Europa moon

KACPER KALETA

About Europa
Europa is quite far from Earth as it take up to 18 months to travel there
Jupiter itself is not an option because its filled with gases and a magnetic
field. It has 39 moons which is including Europa
Europa is the second largest moon of Jupiter
It is the only known place in the solar system to have watery seas. It is all
frozen but scientists believe that there is liquid underneath

If liquid is present on the moon, it is said that there is a presence of simple

forms but it was not proven by the scientists
Europa has a disadvantage because of the lack of atmosphere and really low
tempreture e.g-170 degrees but this problem could be dealt with
The icy depths of the moons are thought to contain vents to the mantle
much as oceans on Earth do. These vents could provide the necessary
thermal environment to help life evolve
Europa is thought to have an iron core just like Earth.
The moon was discovered in January 1610 by the Italian astronomer Galileo
Galilei.
There is possibly twice as much liquid water on Europa as there is on Earth.
Which also means twice as much oxygen

Why not a different option ?

Travelling out of the solar system would be a very long journey for the people
Venus has no magnetic field which would leave us open to all solar winds it is
also too hot with an average of 467 degrees
Living on a space station would be very dangerous because we would be
depended on the builders and the station could expolde and need petrol to
function
Meteorites often fall on the moon, arent stopped by the atmosphere fall to
the surface and cause huge damage
Mars is vulnerable to stroms and tornados frequently

Europa Orbiting

Europas orbit changes direction due to the impact of Jupiter and other
moons
It takes 3 and half days to orbit Jupiter fully
