Supporting Points

displaced aggression, and scapegoating.

4. Test Your Thesis: Ask the following questions to see

if you have a strong thesis.


Is your thesis one sentence?
Is your thesis clearly stated?
Does your thesis include a topic that relates to
this paper assignment?
Does your thesis include an opinion about that
topic?
Can you support your thesis with the texts weve
read in class?
Is your thesis focused enough, so you can write
about it in a couple of pages?
Is your thesis broad enough that it will allow you
to write a couple of pages on the topic?
