Good Morning thank you for subbing for my class.

Emily and Alberto will help you with names or any


questions you have. Chris is also helpful if you have questions.

I have morning duty at 7:45 so please maintain as much order as possible at the lunch tables, just
have students sit down and if they're chasing each other separate them.

8:00-8:20 Have the students write in their journal (the prompt is written on the
board) while you do the lunch count. Collect any swim party permission
slips (you probably have to ask for them)

When you finish the count send it to the office with Michael mark all of
the 8th grade students as NL but do not mark them absent please.
820-930 Have the students take out their language arts books and open to 688. You
can lead them in the discussion or start reading, Read 690 to 701
discussing the story as necessary.

Have students work through questions 1-8 at the end of the story
9:30-10:15 If there is time before recess have students write a narrative about what they think
happened to the eighth graders at Disneyland. Have the students share their
stories with the class. Feel free to make one up as a class to get them started. Tell
them it must be 5 paragraphs intro-body-body-body-conclusion.
10:15-10:30 Recess/Your Break
10:30-10:50 Silent Reading
10:50-12:20 Have students work through the math packet if they finish early they may draw or
read. Feel free to work through several problems with them if you want to drag it
out you can also have them write on the board.

If you need a break put in one of the two videos or do triva(cards are on my desk).
1-130 Have students clean up their desks and make sure nothing is on the floor then put
on the video for 30 minutes
130-230 P.E. Freeplay. If you want to organize kickball or steal the beacon feel free,
otherwise just make sure they are walking laps or playing something. They know
they may not go on the equipment, kick them off if they do.
230 Dismissal. Don't worry if you don't finish anything. Anything they finish can go
in the turn in tray. If you have any problems leave their names on the back of this
note. Thanks!
