Reflection 10

Our friends gave presentations this week and, while I did my own, I learned from watching theirs. They became more experienced over time, taking the teacher's advice to make the presentations better each week. They were more careful in instructions, role cards, and smooth transitions, though some presentations still had issues with transitions. By repeatedly practicing and correcting mistakes, both presenters and observers gained a deeper understanding. Making mistakes now as teaching students will help us become more effective teachers in the future. Doing drama presentations allows us to learn real teaching styles and recognize our strengths and weaknesses before becoming real teachers.

DRAMA 2010-2011

Our friends also went on their presentations in this week. Although I did mine, I
became more knowledgeable and experienced by watching theirs. But I realized that every
presenter became more experienced, careful and they took more consideration of the
teacher’s saying day by day and so the presentations were better than the previous week’s.
They were more cautious in giving instructions, preparing role cards and also in making
smooth transition. However, there were some failures especially in smooth transition.
Anyway, as they repeated their presentations in terms of correcting the incorrect parts again
and again, we including the presenter gained a deeper understanding. The more mistakes
we did, as a teacher to be, the more experienced we became. So it will help us while trying
to be an effective teacher in future. I think by doing drama presentations we learn the real
teaching styles and we can recognize ourselves much before we become a real teacher. I like
this lesson because we can have the chance of observing ourselves and learn how to be a
good teacher before graduating. In fact it is much better that we have the chance of learning
it before graduating because we can see ourselves firstly in the drama class, not in the real
class in front of our students.
