Horror/Thriller: Thomas Wallbank-AS Media Coursework

The document provides an analysis of the opening title sequences of the films Se7en and The Blair Witch Project. For Se7en, it notes the scratched font, razor blade imagery, montage editing, washed out color palette, and eerie music that set an ominous tone. Extreme close-ups of a hand and razor blade draw the audience in while maintaining an enigmatic quality. For The Blair Witch Project, it discusses how the intro paragraph establishes the horror genre. Handheld "amateur" camera work, introduction of the main characters, intentionally imperfect editing, and banging sounds aim to create realism and build drama.
