A printer is a device that accepts text
and graphic output from a computer and
transfers the information to paper,
usually to standard size sheets of paper.

There are many types of printers but i
defined some types, which are used In
daily life. Such as;

• DOT-MATRIX PRINTERS.
• INK-JETS(BUBBLE-JETS) PRINTERS.
• LASER PRINTERS.
DOT-MATRIX PRINTERS
It use a set of closely spaced pins and
a ribbon to print letters or other characters
on a page. The number of pins, which can
vary between 9 to 24, determines the
quality of the print job.  Dot matrix printers
are commonly used for printing
invoices,etc.

It creates a digital image by propelling


variable-sized droplets of ink onto paper.
Inkjet printers are the most commonly
used type of printer and range from small
inexpensive consumer models to very
large professional machines.

LASER PRINTERS
It rapidly produces high quality text and
graphics on plain paper. As with digital
photocopiers and multifunction printers
(MFPs), it different from analog
photocopiers in that the image is produced
by the direct scanning of a laser beam
across the printer's photo receptor.
