Fernando Amorsolo s

Ina at Ana

Ina at Anak
Fernando Amorsolo is outstanding among Filipino painters in the way that he captured images of life in the Philippines. His works are so distinctive and evocative of that which is truly Filipino. As you see the painting titled Ina at Anak at the first page of my paper, I see the beauty of art on it. It is beautiful for me because of being unique and you can see the veracity in his artwork. Like this painting, a mother is carrying her child, which is truly one of the best etiquette of a Filipino mother. I am very close to my mom so I see myself as the child in the painting. She is very vigilant to protect her child from any danger. And I m conceited to say that mothers who used to be Filipino are having that kind of behaviour. You can see the story behind of his artwork. And that s the most attractive part for me because he just not painted it but tell a story through his painting. Ina at Anak is such a very soothing scene for me. It s very factual and really ensuing scenario. You can sense the joy and humour that was evident in my optimistic approach in the painting. It loosens me up from strain and makes me proud to be a Filipino. Moreover, I see the consistency in his artwork that adds enthusiasm. His painting is so simple but tells a lot a story. But its simplicity doesn t just end there. His masterpiece is dramatically expressed that leave something incredulity in your mind. How did he paint it? How did he make the whole concept? I see the hidden beauty in this painting because of the story. It tells thousand of words and inspires at the same time.
