Thank you all for your contributions. In the spirit of giving back, I want to share a couple of resources I am working on that might be of interest: Mobile Learning 4 Special Needs (http://mobilelearning4specialneeds.wikispaces.com): I used to maintain a Ning site about Apple mobile devices and their use with students with special needs, but when Ning switched to a paid model I moved the site over to wikispaces. I have continued to update the list of apps on the site and I just made it available as an ePub document you can open with iBooks on your IOS device. This will let you purchase any of the apps on the list directly from your iPad or iPod touch. This is a side project I'm doing on my own free time. Tech Ease 4 All (http://etc.usf.edu/techease/4all/): This is a collection of tutorials about the basic accessibility features that are built into each operating system and other free tools such as the NVDA screen reader and a number of browser add-ons. The target audience is preservice teachers, and we currently have tutorials available for both Windows 7 and Mac OS X as well as a section on designing accessible materials. Each tutorial includes a closed captioned
video, a screen reader friendly web page, and a large print, tagged PDF document. This project is funded by the University of South Florida, where I am pursuing a Ph. D. in special education.
