1. Introduction
Welcome to the world of Cockpitsonic you have chosen our FMS / MCDU which connects with Project Magenta Software directly, not requiring any additional software. The FMS / MCDU has the following features: network connection via TCP/IP. Full aluminium design hires colour screen. backlighted keyboard.
2. Installation
Download the EHID driver for CDU only from our website. Copy the folder to your harddrive, preferably to the topmost folder on your C: drive. In the Windows task par click on execute - type CMD this will take you to the MS-DOS Window. In the window change the directory to the folder in which you have stored the EHID. Enter the name of the EHID software (in case of Boeing type B737) followed by a space and -install - you have now sucessfully installed the EHID software. Now start up your FMS / MCDU by plugging the supplied power unit to it. We assume that you have already connected the supplied network cable to our network. You will see the setup screen displaying the Cockpitsonic logo. Now press the SETUP button which will take you to the setup menu. Decide whether you want to use DHCP. If Not please provide a unique TCP/IP adress as well as your network mask Exit the setup and the FMS / MCDU will automatically connect to your EHID. It is now recommended to install Project Magenta software in the most recent version. After installation please check the configuration file and set USE EHID = ON (this means invoking the EHID protocol). Save the configuration file and start up ProjectMagenta software.
The CDU will automatically be detected.
