His Name is Jesus
"...For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace..." Isaiah 9: 6 As we are heading toward Christmas, let us focus on the reason for the season, which is Jesus. Jesus is our Wonderful Counsellor. He is our Mighty God the Everlasting Father. He is the Prince of Peace. His coming was prophesied of long before He came. His names were given to Him long before His lowly birth. May we focus on and celebrate who Jesus is and all that His names represent. His miraculous birth was the start of something that history will never repeat. Christs birth, His life, death and resurrection, and our relationship with Him because of this, is the reason we celebrate. No one else can bear these names For no one could ever be the same 1. 2.

Scripture for moms . Though you have
not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9 JoyWe hear a lot about joy this time of year. We need to be diligent in the way that we define joy and how we incorporate it in our Christmas celebration. True joy comes only from knowing Christ. Be careful not to allow the busyness and overwhelming stress that has become the holidays to shadow the joy of our Saviors birth! Have a blessed Christmas!
