I am going to tell you one of phenomenon of Astronomy, a branch of science which I really addicted in. It s about star.. yeah..
The Life Cycles of a Star, or Stellar Evolution! And you can see million stars from this pictures. It The Milky Way that contains so many stars.. OK.. Let s check it out.. :D Stars life begin as diffuse clouds of interstellar dust and gases called nebula. These clouds condense by the gravitational attraction. Next.. Surrounding interstellar material is gravitationally attracted to this dense spot and condenses into a more compact, dense, high pressure and temperature form called protostar. Then, when the temperature is high enough, there will be nuclear reactions in its core. Hydrogen atoms fuse together to form helium, releasing energy . this energy radiates outward in the form of light and heat. We called this stage, star But, when the hydrogen fuel begins to run out, This condition forms red giant star. The diameter increase. Maybe when our sun in this stage, it will reach the earth orbital. Bur the gravitational acceleration decrease and the earth possibly be keep away from it. After that, there s two possibility condition of star depending on its mass. On a intermediate mass suns (I mean, star which has low mass and its light is yellow like our sun), it s more faster to run out their fuel. So, it becomes unstable and collapses, ejecting its outer layer to the space. It called planetary nebula. Then, it leave its core. The core is so compact, white and dense. After long time, white dwarf releases all of its trapped energy, cools off and become black. It can t give off light. OK.. then, in a high mass star, this red giant will expands becomes super red giant. More fuel, more size, more diameter.. then, it will collapses greatly. The collapse leads to an explosion that sends a shock wave through space. It is called supernova. After the explosion, there are two possibility. The supernova may completely destroy the star and create black hole.. it has very high density and gravitational acceleration. It attracts everything around it, including light. but, sometimes the supernova leaves the core of star. The protons and electrons will fuse together becomes neutron, so it isn t complete atoms. It s called Neutron Star..
