Props: Breaking Arms, Cashing Cheques

This document describes various props used as firearms in a film production. A pistol was chosen for a scene where a character is killed because of its worn appearance allowing for concealment until the last second. An assault rifle used in a dream sequence was selected to look like it could stop a large force quickly. A submachine gun held by a character in the dream scene was smaller than the assault rifle to avoid diverting attention from it. A sniper rifle given by a friend was used in the main scene to imply a long range assassination from a concealed assassin. A knife was employed in a first kill scene though not visible to provide realism even if concealed until the final moment.

PROPS

BREAKING ARMS, CASHING CHEQUES.

PISTOL
This is the pistol that we used for the scene where I kill Aidan. We choose this particular scene because of its damaged/worn out appearance. We needed a small gun like this because we wanted to conceal it (in the film) until the last second.

ASSAULT RIFLE
This is the assault rifle that we used in the first scene. (dream sequence) we choose this particular gun because we wanted a kind of gun that looked like it would stop a large force in a short amount of time.(hence the short gun burst in the dream scene). This was the perfect gun for the situation.

SUB-MACHINE GUN
This is the gun that Matt Winfield held in the dream sequence. We choose this gun because of the comparison to the assault rifle. This gun is smaller and this is what we wanted because the assault rifle was the main focus we didnt want to divert the attention from it.

SNIPER RIFLE
The sniper rifle was a prop given to us by a friend. This gun was used in the main scene of the film. We needed a gin like this because we wanted to give the impression that the target was a long way from the assassin and that he wanted to take the target out at long range to avoid detection.

KNIFE
This is the knife we used in the first kill scene. Although you cannot clearly see the knife in the scene we needed a knife to give a realistic feel to the assassination. We choose this knife because like the gun we needed to conceal the weapon until the last point in the assassination.
