Global Warming - Effect of Global Warming - Step To Reduce Global Warming

The greenhouse effect occurs when greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere trap heat from the sun, causing the Earth's temperature to increase. Global warming is caused by increasing amounts of greenhouse gases enhancing the greenhouse effect and trapping more heat in the atmosphere, raising the Earth's temperature by 1.5 to 4.5 degrees Celsius. The effects of global warming include floods in low-lying areas, changes in weather patterns, more droughts, and melting of polar ice and glaciers raising sea levels. Steps to reduce global warming are decreasing fossil fuel use, stopping open burning, replanting trees, and developing renewable energy sources.

THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT

Global warming Effect of Global warming Step to reduce Global warming

What Is Greenhouse Effect ?

Greenhouse effect is the phenomena of an increase in the temperature of the earths atmosphere. It happened due to the heat that absorb and trapped in the Earths atmosphere . The greenhouse gasses is carbon dioxide , methane , chlorofluorocarbon and nitrogen oxide.

The greenhouse effect occurs through the following process:

The Sun`s radiation to the Earth enter through the atmosphere as solar radiation and ultraviolet radiation.
Half of the 70% of the Sun`s radiation that enter the atmosphere is changed to heat energy. Most of the heat energy that reach the Earth`s surface is absorb into the Earth`s. Heat energy in the atmosphere is absorb by carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases and this will resulting heat energy is trapped and causing the Earth`s temperature will increase. The overall effect is that the average temperature of the Earth`s and its atmosphere is increased and resulting the greenhouse effect.

Cause Of Greenhouse effect

Global Warming

The increasing amount of greenhouse gases increases the greenhouse effect. This causing more heat to be trapped in the atmospheres.
Earth`s temperature may rise by 1.5 to 4.5 degree celcius.

Effect Of Global Warming

Floods in low-dying countrie Change in direction and weather pattern. Increase of droughts. Melting of polar ice and glaciers causing a rise in sea level

Steps To Reduce Global Warming

Reduce the burning of fossil fuels.

Reduce or stop open burning Practice replanting of trees Develop other sources of energy such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy
