Four Steps To Success

Jim Rohn Allow me to share with you my four simple steps to success... The first step to success is become a collector of good ideas... My mentor taught me to keep a journal when I was just twenty-five years old, I took that advice, and one day those journals will be passed on to my children and then to my grandchildren. When you learn a good health, wealth, business, or lifestyle idea, write it down. Then on a cold wintry evening go back through your journals and rediscover the ideas that changed your life, the ideas that saved your marriage, the ideas that bailed you out of bankruptcy, the ideas that helped you become successful, the ideas that made you millions... What a good reviewgoing back over the collection of ideas that you gathered over the years. So become a collector of good ideas for your business, for your relationships, for your life. The second step to success is have a good plan... A good plan for today; a good plan for tomorrow; a good plan for your future. Because building a better tomorrow is like building a houseyou need to begin with a good written plan. Now here's a great question: When should you start your next day, week, month, or year? And here's the best answer: As soon as you have it finishedon paper! Remember, it's just like building that house... What if you started laying bricks and somebody asks, "What are you building?" And you say, "I have no idea." They would come and take you away to a safe place. So, don't start the house until you've finished iton paper. Now, is it really possible to finish the house on paper before you start building it? Yes! And yet it would be foolish to start building it before you had it finished on paper. So do a little pre-planning, and then get it all down on paperbefore you start building a better tomorrow.

Now the third step to success is learn to handle the passing of time... It takes time to build your Network Marketing business and it takes time to better your life. It takes time to master something new, and it takes time to make improvements and refinement in philosophy as well as in activity. Give yourself time to learn, time to get it, time to start some momentum, time to finally achieve. Because it's easy to be impatient with yourself... My Mama taught me how to play the piano. "Here is the left hand scale," she said. I got that, it was easy. Then she said, "Here is the right hand scale." I got that, it was easy too. Then she said, "Now we are going to play both hands at the same time." I thought, "Well, how can you do that?" Now one hand at a time was easy...but at the same time? And yet, over time, I got where I could play the scales with both hands. Then I remember the day she said, "Now we are going to read the music and play with both hands." And I thought, "You can't do all that." But you know, now I'm looking at the music, looking at each hand, a little confused at first, but finally I mastered it. And just like learning to play the piano, you can learn how to build a bigger business, you can master the art of parenting, you can learn how and where and with whom to invest your time, your resources, and your life. You've just got to give yourself time. Now the fourth step to success is learn to solve problems... Business problems, personal problems, financial problems, and emotional problems. And here's the best way to treat a problem: As an opportunity to grow. Change if you need to, modify if you must, discard an old philosophy that wasn't working well for a new one that will serve you better. The best reminder of this truth my mentor ever gave me was, "Mr. Rohn if you will get better, everything will get better for you." Well, I took those words to heart, and sure enough the more I improved, the more everything improved for me. So become a collector of good ideas, have a good plan, learn to handle the passing of time, and go to work on solving those problems, and you will be well on your way to becoming more successful than you ever imagined.

Get Around The Right People

Brian Tracy You will be the same person in five years except for the people you meet and the books you read. Charlie "Tremendous" Jones Fully 85 percent of your success and happiness in life is going to be determined by the quality of the relationships that you develop in your personal and your business activities. The more people you know and who know you in a positive way, the more successful you will be and the faster you will move ahead. At virtually every turning point in your life, someone is standing there to either help you or hinder you. Successful people make a habit of building and maintaining a network of high-quality relationships throughout their lives, and as a result, they accomplish vastly more than the person who goes home and watches television each night. Everything involves relationships. Virtually all of your problems in life will come as the result of your entering into wrong relationships with the wrong people. Virtually all of your great successes in life will be accompanied by great relationships with good people who help you and whom you help in return. More than 90 percent of your success will be determined by your "reference group." Your reference group is defined as the people with whom you habitually identify and pass the time. You are like a chameleon in that you take on the attitudes, behaviors, values, and beliefs of the people with whom you associate most of the time. If you want to be a successful person, associate with positive people. Associate with people who are optimistic and happy and who have goals and who are moving forward in their lives. At the same time, get away from negative, critical, complaining people. If you want to fly with eagles, you cannot scratch with the turkeys.

Self-made millionaires network continually. They join their industry and trade associations, attend every meeting, and get involved in the groups' activities. They introduce themselves to people in business and social settings, hand out their business cards, and tell others what they do. And here is one of the best strategies of all. Whenever you meet new people, ask them to tell you about their businesses and, especially, to tell you what you would need to know to send clients or customers to them. Then, as soon as possible, see if you can send some business their way. Be a "go-giver" rather than a go-getter. Always look for ways to put in before you start thinking of ways to take out. The very best way to network and build your relationships is to constantly look for ways to help other people achieve their own goals. The more you give of yourself without expecting something in return, the more rewards will come back to you in the most unexpected sources. If you're interested in getting around the right people, then read the book Mach II With Your Hair on Fire.

Five Ways To Heat Up Your Cold Distributors

Michael Clouse Water has always fascinated me. Freeze it, thaw it out and watch it return to its original form. Liquid to solid to liquid once again... Now try that with an egg! Indeed, this wonderfully refreshing "two parts hydrogen one part oxygen" nutritional chaser is incredible stuff. For example, did you know that water never freezes at exactly 32 degrees? It's true. And here's the amazing partice at 32 degrees will never thaw! Seems as though water is in some sort of suspended animation at 32 degrees. Ever have any distributors stuck at 32 degrees? You know, the ones who attend

your business briefing every week and never bring a guest? They're in, and yet not in-terested enough to do anything. They don't quit, and yet they don't work the business either. They just seem, well, suspended at 32 degrees... I'm not sure if Yogi Berra, the great New York Yankee's manager, knew about this 32 degree thing when he said, "Nothing happens until something happens." But I'll bet even Yogi faced this same dilemma with his players... What do you suppose he did? Although we'll probably never know for sure about Yogi, I have prepared a surefire way to heat up your 32 degree distributors. It's called, The Sponsoring Rule of Five. And if you're serious about your success, give it a trybecause the results will astound you... 1. Only sponsor those people with whom you would like to become friends. This is simple and to the point. After all, if you don't want them in your home, why would you want them in your business? 2. Invest your time with those you personally sponsor. Get to know them for who they are, and for who they want to become. You should understand the circumstances, needs, and dreams of everyone you personally bring into the business. 3. Set up a game planand follow through. Without the architectural blueprint, or plan, the building would not be built. And without your commitment to complete the task, even the smallest goal is wasted. Prepare a game plan with those you enroll, and then commit to partnering with them to achieve their desired end-result. 4. Talk with those you sponsor every week. Successful business-builders talk with their team. They're interested. And over time, this simple talking-with-yourteam technique will have you doing business with those you know well. 5. Become close personal friends inside and outside the business. People may choose to leave a business, but nobody chooses to leave a friend. Because Network Marketing is about creating a fabulous lifestyle, make sure you enjoy yours with those you sponsor along the way. The Sponsoring Rule of Five... Now that's how to create some heat!

The 38 Philosophies
Michael Clouse It has long been stated, and these words are true, "We become what we think about..." Therefore, the question that begs to be addressed is, "What are you thinking about all day long?" What thoughts go through your mindfrom the time you awaken from your slumber, until the time you retire late into the evening? Have you ever stopped to think about all the words, wisdom, and wonder you use to fill the inside of your head? And if you were actually aware of what you were mulling over, would those internal conversations be directing you steadily towards, or further away from, that glorious vision of the future you've already imagined inside your mind? If it's trueand it isthat your philosophy (everything you know and how you allow that information to affect you) dictates your attitude (what you think about all day long). And if your attitude ultimately affects everything you haveand it doeswouldn't it be wise to think about, or ponder on, more than a few positive thoughts as you go about your day? If that sounds like a great idea, then below you will find The 38 Philosophies for your consideration... As you repetitiously consider each and every one, imagine what could happen to your MLM business, and to your life, when you learn them and apply them everyday! Stop worrying about the person who says "No." Focus instead on those who simply "Don't know." Michael S. Clouse If you share a good idea long enough, it will eventually fall on good people. Jim Rohn Successful people do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do. Jeff Olson
