How your child plays, learns, speaks, and acts offers important clues about your childs development. Developmental milestones are things most children can do by a certain age. Check the milestones your child has reached by his or her 4th birthday. Take this with you and talk with your childs doctor at every visit about the milestones your child has reached and what to expect next.

What most children do at this age:


Social/Emotional

Movement/Physical Development

Act early by talking to your childs doctor if your child:

La manera en que su hijo juega, aprende, habla y acta nos ofrece pistas importantes sobre cmo se est desarrollando. Los indicadores del desarrollo son las cosas que la mayora de los nios pueden hacer a una edad determinada. Marque los indicadores del desarrollo que puede ver en su hijo cuando cumple 4 aos de edad. Reaccione pronto y hable con el doctor de su hijo si el nio:

Dgale al mdico o a la enfermera de su hijo si nota cualquiera de estos signos de posible retraso del desarrollo para su edad, y converse con alguien de su comunidad que conozca los servicios para nios de su rea, como por ejemplo la escuela pblica ms cercana.
