Unusual Hotels For a different kind of travel experience, try staying in one of these unusual hotels! Under the Sea Jules Undersea Lodge, Florida, U.S. Imagine waking up to find beautiful tropical fish swimming by your bedroom window! You can have this experience at Jules Undersea Lodge, the worlds first underwater hotel. First built as a laboratory to study ocean life, the lodge is now a luxury hotel where you can relax and enjoy the wonders of the ocean. To get inside the hotel, guests must dive 21 feet (6.4 meters) under the ocean and enter through a special door. Scuba diving classes are available, so you can explore the ocean around you. Although its under water, the lodge still has the comforts of home, including hot showers, videos, and air-conditioning. Guests can cook their own food in the kitchen, or order pizza from a local shop that makes underwater deliveries! Room with a View Rainforest Tree Houses Hotel, Tarzali, Australia Spend a night high in the trees at the Rainforest Tree Houses hotel! Rooms at this hotel are all luxury tree houses with views of a peaceful river in the middle of the Australian rainforest! The rainforest is full of exotic native animals, such as tree kangaroos, wallabies, tree frogs, platypuses, and numerous birds. Animals in the rainforest are free to come and go on the hotel grounds, and you can watch them from your rooms private porch. In addition to enjoying nature, there are many other ways to relax. You can soak in a private a hot tub overlooking the forest or swing in a hammock on your porch. To the Lighthouse Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel, Stranraer, Scotland Spend some time on Scotland's spectacular coastline at Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel. Built in 1815, the Corsewall Lighthouse still sends a warning light to ships at the entrance of Loch Ryan. The lighthouse is now a luxury hotel with impressive views of the ocean. From the top of the lighthouse, you can see all the way to the coast of Ireland on a clear night. There are many activities available nearby, including day trips to Ireland, golf, horseback riding, windsurfing, and sailing. Going Underground Gamirasu Hotel, Ayvali, Cappadocia, Turkey Go back in time to the Gamirasu Hotel in the peaceful village of Ayvali, in the Cappadocia valley of Turkey. The hotel is an 18-room cave house, carved more than 1,000 years ago from volcanic rock. Until recently, Christian monks lived there. During your stay, you will experience the quiet pace of village life. If you walk through Ayvali, you can meet local people selling vegetables in the market, or visit the local bakery and try the bread the bakers make in stone ovens. At night, relax over dinner at the Gamirasu terrace restaurant, overlooking the village, and then enjoy a performance of traditional Turkish music and dance.
