Dan bei Iain Abernethy Prfungsprogramm

Kihon Waza (Basics): In my opinion Kihon should be practised to improve the Kata-Movements. So I choosed combinations from Kanku-Dai and Naihanchi for the following Kihon. ZK v Sanbon-Zuki / Mae-Geri (Leg sets back) ZK v Age-Uke / Gyaku-Zuki / Uchi-Uke / Gyaku-Zuki HK s Koshi-Gamae / Tate-Shuto-Uchi / Chudan-Zuki / Uchi-Uke / Chudan-Zuki / Uchi-Uke / ZK Gedan-Barai KD s Haiwan Jodan Nagashi-Uke/Gedan-Uke / Jodan-Soto-Uchi KD s Haisho-Uke / Mawashi-Empi / Koshi-Gamae / Gedan-Barai / Kagi-Zuki ZK v Haishu-Age-Uke/Jodan-Shuto-Uchi / Mae-Geri / in Kosa-Dachi with OtoshiEmpi / ZK r Uchi-Uke / Choku-Zuki / Gyaku-Zuki ZK v Mae-Geri / Mawashi-Geri / Ushiro-Geri / Uraken-Uchi / Gyaku-Zuki ZK v Mae-Geri / Yoko-Geri / Ushiro-Geri (without setting the foot down) KD s Yoko-Geri (Keage) / Yoko-Geri (Kekomi) (3 X per side)

Pad Work: Kata: Naihanchi Kanku-Dai Any Kata of panels choice out of Heian 1 5, Bassai-Dai, Jion 3 X Gyaku-Zuki / Otoshi-Tetsui-Uchi Lead hand palm, hitch up groin kick, lead hand palm, rear hand palm Escape against 3 Opponents 3 X 2 minute rounds on focus mitts (1st: hands only, 2nd: feet only, 3rd: hands and feet) 2 minute round on kick shield Pre-emptive strike with full dialogue both sides A Drill from panels choice

The students in my Bunkai-/Goshin-Training learn Naihanchi. They learn the Heian Katas parallel to this in the regular trainings. In my Version of Naihanchi I put shodan, nidan and sandan together to one Kata. I also do some movements smaller like in Shotokan and I do not raise my knees when moving. I watched films of Chibana Choshin doing Naihanchi 1 3 and my Version is close to his.

Bunkai: Bunkai for all Katas above. Advanced Bunkai of Naihanchi 1, Seqeuences from Naihanchi 2 and 3 as far as I am on the day of the examination for I am still working on it. After Learning the full Bunkai of Naihanchi (which my students learn in their Kyu-Grades) my students learn the Bunkai of Kanku-Dai.

Tuite & Tegumi: My students learn the following throws and also some locks usable for self-defense. Throws: Byo-Bu-Daoshi Tani-Otoshi (Se-oi-nage) O-Goshi Uki-Goshi Koshi-Guruma Tai-Otoshi Kubi-Wa Sumi-Otoshi Locks: 2 Locks of any joint of panels choice Kumite: 2 minute round of all-in-sparring 2 minute round of ground all-in-sparring (get back to feet, switch half way) 2 minute round of vertical grappling 2 minute round of ground grappling (for submission) Any other type of sparring selected by panel Defending against an opponent attacking with a knife 1 minute dealing with 2 opponents while shielding a person I have to care for 1 minute dealing with 3 opponents

Written paper: A written paper covering the following subject is already done and sent to Iain Abernethy: A training manual on learning how to deal with multiple opponents All drills and trainings covered in this subject can be shown throughout the grading.
