2014 PLANNING Based on our current projections, we anticipate an increased overall school enrolment of approximately 232 students in 2014. If this projection remains stable, we are planning to group these students across 11 classes. The following is a draft breakdown of the classes at each year level: Prep - 2 classes Year 1 - 2 classes Year 2 - 2 classes Year 3/4 - 2 classes Year 4/5 - 1 class Year 5 - 1 class Year 6 - 1 class In addition to the 11 teachers needed for these classes, we are also planning to have Educational Support Staff who will be working in each sub-school to provide Intervention and Extension programs for students throughout the entire year. We have trialled this strategy with tremendous success for our students and as a result, will expand this next year to ensure that our learning for each student is carefully targeted at their point of need. As our planning for 2014 is confirmed over the coming weeks, I will keep everyone updated through the Newsletter. If you ever have any questions about these planning mechanisms, please dont hesitate to organise a chat with me at your convenience.

BOOK FAIR
Once again our school library will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair. The Fair will open after school on Friday and continue before school 8.30 until 9.00 and after school 3.30 until 4.00pm Please support the fair, feel free to browse the display of books and novelty items (if you wish to purchase during school hours just let me know and I will open the library). The school receives commission from every item sold therefore these Fairs are important fundraisers for our library, plus the children enjoy coming to the fair and benefit from having a book shop at school. Students that purchase something will go into the draw to win a book and stationery. I look forward to seeing you at this Book Fair..Jackie Waycott
