This document comprises the CoCP Part B for the Thames Tideway Tunnel project works at Chelsea Embankment Foreshore site and identifies the detailed site-specific measures including working hours, site set up and servicing arrangements, taking into account the environmental issues and consultations with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and other stakeholders. For ease of reference the CoCP Part B mirrors the headings in Part A. The CoCP Part B sets out site-specific issues and deviations from Part A so where there are no site-specific measures reference should be made to the measures set out in Part A. General requirements

3.0.1
Site operation
Topic Site-specific requirement This site willshall adhere to the following working hours: a. standard b. continuous for duration of the Ranelagh connection tunnel construction.
Working hours
When other types of working hours (CoCP Part A, Table 4.1) are required, these willshall be subject to agreement with the local authority through the Section 61 process. Standard hours on this site are in accordance with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelseas normal working hours of 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1.00pm Saturday. Mobilisation is only permitted from 7:30am to 8am for staff arrival and briefings, unless otherwise agreed with the council. Site layout Site security / hoarding requirements River works Other items As per text in CoCP Part A. The hoarding is to be as defined in CoCP Part A para. 4.3.4a and b incorporating suitable art work and viewing windows. As per text in CoCP Part A. A site-specific lighting plan is required. The lighting willshall address the impact on terrestrial and aquatic ecology and include the use of low level directional lighting where possible whilst meeting safe work requirements.
Traffic management
CoCP Part B: Chelsea Embankment Foreshore Topic Site-specific requirement with Transport for London. The existing traffic island directly to the northeast of Bull Ring Gate willshall be removed. Access through the Bull Ring entrance for set-up and take-down of the Chelsea Flower Show and Masterpiece events, and for VIP access, will shall be maintained. The public access during these events shall also be maintained. Emergency access from Chelsea Embankment (A3212) willshall be maintained during the events. In the Traffic Management Plan the contractor shall consider alternate construction routes for vehicles in excess of 4.4m in height to avoid the height restriction on the A3212 Grosvenor Road. This shall be reviewed with Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and TfL during preparation of the plan. Event restrictions Management arrangements during events in the adjacent area to be confirmed in consultation with the Local Highway Authority, the Royal Horticultural Society, the Royal Hospital Chelsea and Transport for London. As per text in CoCP Part A. The diversion of the Thames Path willshall be adequately signed, and a temporary signalised pedestrian crossing willshall be provided between the foreshore site and the worksite on the eastbound carriageway of Chelsea Embankment (A3212). The riverside footway on Chelsea Embankment (A3212) willshall be reinstated for public use outside of working hours at weekends. Arrangements to allow buses to turn right from A3212 into the bus stop in the Bull ring area willshall be maintained, except during landscaping works in this area, unless agreed otherwise. The bus stop in the Bull Ring area would be suspended temporarily only during landscaping works. Access through the Bull Ring gates shall be maintained for development work on Gordon House. 6

Replacement tree planting to be provided for those lost along Chelsea Embankment. Specification for replacement trees to be agreed with Transport for London and includes species, size, source, pit design and finish.

Historic environment
Topic Site-specific requirement A proportion of the brickwork of the river wall as well as all of the granite parapet stones willshall be retained for reinstatement and reuse in accordance with the procedures set out within the Heritage Statement. Retain materials and reuse or reinstate where possible. The railings that form the boundary of the Grade II Registered Ranelagh Gardens willshall be carefully removed, stored and reinstated. Protective measures to mitigate potential strike damage to the Grade II listed Chelsea Royal Hospital Gardens park gates, the boundary of the Grade II Registered Ranelagh Gardens, and the Chelsea Embankment river wall.
