Happy February Rose Hill Families! With Valentines Day so near all I can say is I LOVE ROSE HILL! What an amazing year we are having so far with students and families. This month is a big month for us as we prepare for the State TCAP Test in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade. We really want your student to show how GREAT they are on this test and keep moving Rose Hill in the right direction! We also will be looking for help during this test with various ways parents can help support us. More information will be coming your way soon about this! I also wanted to THANK all the parents that came to our successful Data Night and we have to keep working together to get the best from our students. We will displaying this data report on our new web page (that is coming soon!) and also will discuss at parent teacher conference with parents that have questions. i Help Your Child Relax
If your child is nervous at test time, ask her teacher for tips on helping her relax. Plan Your Schedule Accordingly Make sure that your child is in school during the testing sessions. Do not plan any doctor or dental appointments on test dates. Get Some Sleep See that your child gets his/her regular amount of sleep before the tests and is wellrested. Speak Up Encourage your child to listen carefully to all test-taking directions given by the teacher and to ask questions about any directions that are unclear. Be His/Her Cheerleader Encourage your child to do his/her best. How the Results Will Affect Your Child Remember to keep well-informed about your child's tests. Know how test results are used, and how they will affect your child's placement in school.
Celebrate the Beat with 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade
3 , 4 & 5 Grade Students recently participated in Celebrate the Beat, a program that teaches inspirational music and dance classes that help children discover their potential by motivating them to believe in themselves, to value artistic expression and to develop a personal standard of excellence. The show was amazing!
