NON EU CITIZENS - PERMIT OF STAY SESSION
This session is dedicated to assisting NON-European Union citizens with the completion of the permit of stay application.
EU citizens should consult the box below for instructions to register with the registry office at the city hall. (EU citizens have
90 days after arrival in Italy to register). EU citizens are NOT required to attend the permit of stay session.

Non-EU citizens should apply for the permit of stay within 8 working days of their arrival in Italy, hence, choose your
Permit of Stay Session accordingly. We suggest that you bring the following to the permit of stay session:
Photocopy of Bocconi acceptance letter / enrolment certificate sealed by the Italian Embassy / Consulate when the
entry visa was issued
Photocopy of insurance policy, valid throughout the country and for the entire period of validity of the permit of stay,
covering risk of illness and injury
Photocopy of the pages containing personal data +student Visa page of the passport or other equivalent
document.
Marca da Bollo (Italian tax stamp) of 16,00 (can be bought at any tabacchi shop)
Financial Statement: a document certifying the availability of adequate financial resources (5.818,93 EUROS)
All other documents you may have used when applying for your Visa

ISD staff will provide students with the application package - Questions will be taken during the session
EU CITIZENS REGISTRATION IN ITALY
EU citizens must register with the Registry Office at the City hall of Milan within 90 days of their arrival in Italy
How: students must register and book an appointment online at: www.comune.milano.it. Follow the path area: Servizi on
line Servizi Anagrafici Residenza Stranieri and select the General Registry Office closest to you OR go in person to
one of the authorized General Registry Offices (Ufficio Anagrafe).
Required Documents:
Proof of enrolment in an academic course
Proof of sufficient financial support (a declaration of having sufficient funds is accepted)
Health Coverage
o European S1 Form from your home country OR
o Adequate and appropriate private insurance OR
o Health insurance INA Assitalia purchased in Italy (120 for 6 months for EU students)
(Please note that according to the European Union regulations, the European Health Card is not a valid means of
proof of Health Coverage)
Citizens of Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, San Marino or Switzerland should follow the EU Citizens registration process
