2.1 PAPER 1 a) 1 pupil is able to answer the comprehension questions (30/40)
2.2 PAPER 2 a) Most of the pupils are able to transfer the information by referring to the given text correctly (Section B).
3.0 WEAKNESSES 3.1 PAPER 1 a) Difficulty in understanding words in text. b) Confused in choosing the best phrase to match the pictures c) Difficulty in remembering similes / grammar items d) Do not read the questions carefully. e) Careless.
3.2 PAPER 2 a) Pupils do not know the meaning of the given words / sentences. b) Spelling and grammatical errors. c) Difficulties in comprehending what is in the picture and write sentence based on the picture and words given. d) Pupils having mind set Section C is hard. I cant do it. e) Lack of reading (poor in vocabulary).
4.0 SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES FOR ENHANCEMENT
4.1 Drills on Paper 1 & Paper 2 especially Section A & C. 4.2 Expose pupils to exam oriented format and papers all the time. 4.3 Emphasis should be on Grammar. 4.4 More text reading and understanding. 4.5 Memorize common similes , antonyms, synonyms and collective nouns. 4.6 Different teaching approach to attract pupils interest.
