The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), on behalf of Earth
System Science Organization, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, is looking for
prospective candidates for filling up the positions of Consultant under the scientific Project
Scientific Deep Drilling Programme in Koyna Region. The positions are purely temporary
basis, initially for a period of one year.
Interested candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions may forward their

General Conditions:
1. The number of posts to be filled may vary. The Director, NCAOR reserves the right to
cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.
2. Age Limit is as indicated against the post. Age relaxation to the employees of GOI and
SC/ST/OBC as per GOI norms. Age relaxation may also be considered in case of
exceptionally deserving candidate.
3. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of candidature.
4. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates if called for attending the interview.
5. The place of posting is at Konya Karad, Maharashtra with transfer liability to any part of
India. Further, selected candidates shall have no right to claim implicit or explicit for
their absorption or regularization in any institute or against any program of GOI.
6. Reservation for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped
(OH, PH) will be governed as per Government instructions. However being a project-
mode position, if such candidate is not available, the same will be treated as unreserved.
7. How To Apply: Applications should be neatly typed on thick plain paper (A-4 size 210 x
297 mm) in the prescribed format given below and submitted /sent at the indicated
address within the allowed time.
8. Copies of certificates in support of educational qualifications (from std X to Post
Graduation), date of birth, disability (OH,PH), community (in case of SC/ST/OBC
candidates only) and experience should be attached with the application. Candidates are
required to produce the original certificates as and when asked for.
9. Applications received incomplete in any respect are liable to be summarily rejected. No
representation against such rejection shall be entertained.
