Evasions and shoulder roll techniques
If the defender rolls out of any takedown or break off and lands on his/her feet they will
avoid being scored on.
Eg. Shoulder roll out of a wrist lock

Head Judge scoring criteria
Technique: A participant will be scored on a 3 point system, for proper technique for
their belt level.
Control: How the participant displays using the ring and controlling the match
Advantage: the participant will be scored on attempts of scoring technique
This scoring criteria is used to break ties and to gauge the referees scores.
Match decision
Points are calculated by the head judge, contestant with the most points is declared
victorious.
Rules of conduct and etiquette.
Showing disrespect to opponents, coaches, officials, the sport, other athletes, is
unacceptable and punishable by disqualification.
All due respect should be given to the referee
Foul language is prohibited.
Not engaging in, or evading the fight is prohibited.
Exiting the ring is 3 times will constitute a warning
Pretending to be hurt is forbidden. (this is decided by the jury).
Boasting about a win or crying over a match may result in a jury calling a meeting
for possible disqualification.

Warnings: are issued if any of the above infractions are committed. 3 warnings will
cost the contestant a point. All warnings are restarted each round.
If any of the above infractions were intentional, disqualification may result.
The following are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate disqualification by the
jury.
Intentionally trying to wound, injure, or bring about serious damage to your
opponent is forbidden and will result in a jurys decision for disqualification.
Unsportsmanlike conduct and disrespect
* Note immobilizations and finishing strikes to vital points may be used with 7
distance from the target. Contact with vital strikes, even a touch will result in a
penalty. The above strikes that are highlighted may be used only if the opponent is
immobilized.*
Match conduct
Contestants begin in the middle of the ring the referee than does the following

Starts the match
Between each round a 20 to 30 second rest should be given. In the new round there will
be no commands just ready and go. All warnings from first round are null in the second
round.
At the end of the match command the competitors to bow to each other than to the head
judge. After that, hold the wrists of the competitors, the head judge will than call out a
winner. The arm of the winner will be raised in victory. Competitors will shake hands
than bow to the referee. In the event of a tie there will be a 30 second overtime.

Officials
President: Oversees the etiquette and conduct of the competitors and the officials.
Serves the head of the jury.
Director: Directs and organizes the categories oversees the officials. Makes sure the
tournament operation is regimented according to the outline. Serves as the vice head of
the jury
Ring assistant: Is responsible for placing competitors in the appropriate ring. And
keeping track of match results
Referee: Rules and conduct in the bouts are enforced by a referee who can issue points,
give warnings, and call a jury for disqualifications. As well as making sure that
submissions are released following a tap out. The referee is advised by the head judge
who sits ringside.
Head judge: Sits ring side, they are responsible for score keeping. He/she oversees the
bouts and the referees calls. Should there be any discrepancies in scoring, warnings, etc.;
the head judge can override the referee in the final decision of the match. The head judge
will announce the final result of the match. The head judge will also score on a 3 point
system of 3 criteria. Technique, control, advantage.
Time judge: Keeps track of the time of the bouts
Jury: Is comprised of the President, director, and the senior referees. A jury is called to
make decisions on discrepancies in scoring or any official calls that may need further
study
