Item #78

5886-C
Gauge Type: Height Gauge
Thread Form: API Buttress Casing
Size Range: External and Internal Thread Diameters from 4 " to 13 3/8".
Dial Type: 0~10~0, Balanced w/ Revolution Counting Hand
Graduation: 0.0005"
Dial Travel: 1/8" minimum
Anvil: Hardened steel, "V" cross section, Dial Face perpendicular to thread axis. A special feature
specifically for Buttress Casing is that the measuring contact is located closer to the back of the anvil.
This allows the user to record height readings closer to the "black thread" area while always resting
on perfectly formed threads
.
Description: The 5886-C is an External Thread Height Gauge used on External and Internal API
Buttress Casing threads ranging from 4 " to 13 3/8". By first "zeroing" your height gauge on the
1233-A setting standard, the product error is read on the dial. The measurement taken then indicates
the deviation from the API Nominal, not the actual thread height. This gauge also features a
Revolution counting hand on the indicator and is equipped with a Tungsten Carbide Ball Point.

Item #81
5785-D
Gauge Type: Internal Height Gauge
Thread Form: "V" Thread Form/API Line Pipe
Size Range: Internal Threads 1 " & Larger
Dial Type: 0~50, Counter-Clockwise
Graduation: 0.001"
Dial Travel: ~0.130"
Arm Reach: 4 "
Anvil: Hardened steel, "V" cross section, Dial Face parallel to thread axis.
Description: The 5785-A is an Internal Thread Height Gauge used on all API "V" Thread Forms and
gives a direct value for thread height measurement when used in conjunction with the 6780-L Setting
Standard. It is a scissor type design for use on small diameter couplings while enabling the measuring
point to be placed up to 4-1/2" from the end. The measurement shown indicates the actual thread
height.

Item #82
5886
Gauge Type: Height Gauge
Thread Form: "V" Thread Form/API Line Pipe
Size Range: All External Thread Diameters and Internal Thread sizes of 3 " & Larger
Dial Type: 0~50, Counter-Clockwise
Graduation: 0.001"
Dial Travel: 1/4" minimum
Anvil: Hardened steel, "V" cross section, Dial Face perpendicular to thread axis.
Description: This 5886 is one of the most popular of the "V" Thread Height gauges because it can be
used externally on any diameter as well as Internally on the larger sized connections. It is designed to
give a direct value for thread height measurement when used in conjunction with the 6780-L Setting
Standard for "V" Threads. The measurement shown indicates the actual thread height.

ITEM#83
5785-A
Gauge Type: Internal Height Gauge
Thread Form: "V" Thread Form/API Line Pipe
Size Range: Internal Threads 1 " & Larger
Dial Type: 0~10~0, Balanced w/ Revolution Counting Hand
Graduation: 0.0005"
Dial Travel: ~0.130"
Arm Reach: 4 "
Anvil: Hardened steel, "V" cross section, Dial Face parallel to thread axis.
Description: The 5785-A is an Internal Thread Height Gauge used on all API "V" Thread Forms and
indicates product error when used in conjunction with the 6780-L Setting Standard. It is a scissor type
design for use on small diameter couplings, enabling the measuring point to be placed up to 4-1/2"
from the end. By first "zeroing" your height gauge on the proper setting standard, the product error is
read on the dial. The measurement taken then indicates the deviation from the API Nominal, not the
actual thread height. This gauge also features a Revolution counting hand on the indicator.

TAPER GAUGE
5609
Gauge Type: External Taper Gauge
Size Range: 0~9 5/8" Thread Diameters
Dial Type: 0~100, Clockwise
Graduation: 0.001"
Dial Travel: "
Arm Reach: 5"
Description: The 5609 is an External Taper Gauge for measuring the taper on API Casing, Tubing and
Line Pipe in sizes from 4-1/2~ 9-5/8" OD. As part of the economically priced 5600 series of stable,
durable taper gauges, it features interchangeable Tungsten Carbide contact allowing it to be used on
various thread types. These are "hands on" gauges, easily enabling the user to maneuver into the
best position to get the desired measurement.
5614
Gauge Type: External Taper Gauge
Size Range: 0~14" Thread Diameters
Dial Type: 0~100, Clockwise
Graduation: 0.001"
Dial Travel: "
Arm Reach: 5"
Description: The 5614 is an External Taper Gauge for measuring the taper on API Casing and Line
Pipe in sizes from 7-14" OD. As part of the economically priced 5600 series of stable, durable taper
gauges, it features interchangeable Tungsten Carbide contact allowing it to be used on various thread
types. These are "hands on" gauges, easily enabling the user to maneuver into the best position to
get the desired measurement.

Item #89
8192
Gauge Type: Internal Taper Gauge
Size Range: 2~8-5/8" Thread Diameters
Dial Type: 0~100, Counter-Clockwise
Graduation: 0.001"
Dial Travel: 1"
Arm Reach: 6"
Description: The 8192 is an Internal Taper Gauge specially designed for use on API Rotary Shoulder
Connections. It can also be used on API Casing, Tubing, and Line Pipe in sizes from 2~8-5/8" ID as
well as to check ring groove diameters in couplings. The moving arm utilizes linear bearings, similar to
those found on earlier models, to maintain a remarkably smooth and stable 1" travel. This prevents
arm rotation for more accurate measurements up to 6" from the face. The lower sliding arm quickly
accommodates sizes from 2" to 8 5/8" ID through a precision dovetail locking mechanism. Naturally, it
will also accommodate interchangeable Tungsten Carbide contacts, allowing it to be used on various
thread types. This easy-to-handle and extremely durable gauge is one of our proudest moments.

Item #90
5554
Gauge Type: Internal Taper Gauge
Size Range: 4- ~13-3/8" Thread Diameters
Dial Type: 0~100, Counter-Clockwise
Graduation: 0.001
Dial Travel: "
Description: The 5554 is an Internal Taper Gauge for use on API Casing and Line Pipe in sizes from
4-12~13-5/8" ID, in addition it can be used to check ring groove diameters in couplings. A unique
feature is the versatility gained through the use of interchangeable stainless steel extension rods.
These allow the diameter range to be extended in stepped increments that match the standard API
Casing sizes for Buttress and 8 Round, while maintaining the use of interchangeable contact points
for various thread types.
