Independent Inspection Agency


CONTRACTOR shall contract with an independent (meaning other than an
affiliate, subsidiary or entity with an interlocking Board or other management
organ of CONTRACTOR or any other similar association) inspection agency to
provide quality control monitoring of CONTRACTOR's quality assurance and
quality control program for all materials manufactured or procured by
CONTRACTOR including all required testing during manufacturing. This
independent agency shall furnish material status, inspection and test reports
to COMPANY as specified in the Scope of Work and Technical Specifications,
PTS No. 07EG908. However, the requirement of this Paragraph 8.3 is waived
in case CONTRACTOR has already established its QA procedure and is fully
1509000 certified.

8.4

COMPANY Access to Suppliers Facilities

COMPANY
REPRESENTATIVE will
be
provided
access to
CONTRACTOR's supplier's facilities for purposes of obtaining
information on production progress, determining status and
witnessing the tests and inspections.
COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE will be informed of CONTRACTOR's
supplier's methods of reporting production progress.
CONTRACTOR will make reasonable efforts to obtain access to
supplier plants, for COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE, subject to the
conditions set forth above, where shipment is to be made directly
from the supplier's plant to the port of exit.

COMPANY's Failure to Inspect


COMPANY's failure to inspect shall in no way relieve CONTRACTOR of any
obligation set forth in the CONTRACT.

9.

Production Tests
Materials and equipment tests and inspection shall be conducted in the manner
stipUlated in the Scope of Work and Technical Specifications, PTS No. 07EG908and
the following reqUirements:

9.1

Factory Tests
For major factory tests during the manufacturing process, which COMPANY
has specifically indicated a desire to witness, CONTRACTOR shall issue to
COMPANY a written notice specifying the date and the time of the test at
least fifteen (15) calendar days prior to the occurrence of such tests to
permit COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE to attend. Completion of such major
production tests, however, will not be delayed to accommodate the COMPANY
REPRESENTATIVE.

9.2

Final Test of Major Components


9.2.1

In the case of the final test of major components prior to shipment


from the factory and which COMPANY has specifically indicated a
desire to witness, CONTRACTOR shall give COMPANY at least thirty
(30) calendar days advance written notice of the tentative schedule
of test and then at least fifteen (15) calendar days notice of the
confirmed schedule, to permit the COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE to
attend.
