Separator Sizing Spreadsheet

This document provides guidelines for sizing two-phase and three-phase separators with and without mist extractors. It includes nomenclature, references, standard separator sizes per API, and formulas for sizing two-phase vertical separators as per API 12J. An example calculation is shown for a two-phase vertical separator given input parameters for gas and oil rates, properties, operating conditions, and design factors. Standards and references are provided for determining retention times, liquid levels, nozzle criteria, and K-factors for mist extractors.
