II. Subject Description


There is a hero inside you and you can definitely help to make this world a better place. This is the truth that you will come to realize
after studying this subject. You will study the characteristics of Dr. Jose Rizal and modern-day Rizals that are worth emulating. This subject
will also enable you to deduce Rizals stand on contemporary issues and to evaluate such position in the context of modern Philippine
society.
B. Objectives:
At the end of the subject, you should be able to:
1. Analyze how Rizal emerged as a National hero despite his humanness;
2. Analyze the actions and traits of modern-day Filipino heroes and explain how you can make an impact in your own way;
3. Deduce Rizals stand on contemporary issues by analyzing hiz ideas and convictions;
4. Analyze Rizals stand contemporary issues in the context of a modern society; and
5. Make an action plan manifesting your commitment to become a modern-day Rizal in words and actions
