M o u n t i n g pads w i l l assist i n e l i m i n a t i n g excessive floor v i b r a t i o n . I t is
i m p o r t a n t t h a t t h e m a c h i n e be m o u n t e d level.
O n three phase grinders, i n c o m i n g power s u p p l y s h o u l d be connected
t o t e r m i n a l s L I , L 2 , a n d L 3 of starter contactor. O n t w o phase grinders,
i n c o m i n g power s u p p l y s h o u l d be connected t o t e r m i n a l s L I , L 2 , L 3 , a n d
L 4 of starter contactor. A f t e r connecting power s u p p l y start s p i n d l e m o t o r .
S p i n d l e s h o u l d t u r n clockwise. I f n o t , change a n y t w o wires of t h e i n p u t
power s u p p l y .
LUBRICATION
Keep a constant check on the level o f the o i l reservoir. Lubrication should be
accomplished as operating use demands. Every four to five months, or as required,
the table should be removed and the ways and rollers cleaned w i t h a solvent.
Then use a clean oily cloth on the rollers and ways to leave a film o f o i l which
is all that is necessary.

Industry is finding all manner of usesforthese unique REID machines
which can make repeat cuts and grinds automatically with electronically controlled accuracy. The 612-SG and DG were developed
especially for consistently accurate slicing and dicing of valuable
germanium and silicon wafers used by the semi-conductor industry.
These versatile REID machines can perforin close tolerance broach,
step, and serration grinding automatically with the same repeat
accuracy-making them ideal for precision grinding on a form or
production basis.
D U S T C O L L E C T O R . V a c u u m type cabinet model
No. 66. Self contained motor draws dirt and dust
from grinding area. Foot pedal shaker c l e a n s
filter s u r f a c e s . Larger Dust Collectors for servicing two or three grinders also available.
R E I D COOL GRINDING A T T A C H M E N T . A fine jet
of coolant directed at grinding wheel contact prevents excessive heating, eliminates dust. Spray
mist evaporates, eliminating need for a conventional return s y s t e m . Coolant container mounts
on grinder column, uses c u s t o m e r ' s own a i r pressure. Regulator controls volume of coolant to the
adjustable spray nozzle.
