Dear Parents,
MESSAGE OF THE WEEK
Welcome back this week, we are pleased to see everybody returning to us after the long break! We hope to have
our normal routines established as soon as possible. Below are a number of pieces of information that will help you
find out what is happening with events this term. There is also a list of dates below that are presently accurate, but
additional dates will be added as the term unfolds.
MEET THE TEACHER MEETINGS PLEASE COME
We would like to make an invitation to all parents to come to a meeting to meet with your childs teacher over the
next two weeks. The meetings will be short and are intended to allow you to meet your childs teacher. Hopefully this
will help you become familiar with your childs class routines which always help school life run more smoothly for both
our staff and for you, our parents. More importantly, it will be a good way in which to discover more about what your
children will be learning this year and the expectations for their learning and homework. Please attend if you are able
to. You will, however, be most welcome to speak to our staff if you make an appointment through the school office or
by email using the school website.

that they can be placed in the trophy cabinet alongside their photographs.
GUITAR TUITION PLACES AVAILABLE
Guitar / saxophone lessons will resume next Tuesday 13th September. With some of our Year 6 guitarists leaving last
year, there are now a limited number of places available for new starters. If you would like your child to take part,
please contact James Bell on 07754 847683 or
[email protected].
VOLUNTEER/S NEEDED TO PAINT RECEPTION CLASS TRICYCLES
If there is a handy parent who would like to donate a little time to give the Reception Class tricycles a lick of paint to
smarten them up, we would love to hear from you. They are a great resource but are looking weary through heavy
use. We have about 10 frames that require some preparation and repainting. I am sure that the children will be very
grateful! Any resources required to carry out the work would be paid for by the school.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR CLUBS
th
Clubs taken by staff within the school will be commencing in two weeks. This will be the week beginning 19
September. This will allow staff to write to the children and parents and invite them to show an interest in their
chosen club/s. Staff will then message or write to you to confirm your childs place at their chosen club. If clubs have
demand, staff will select children wanting a place by fairly drawing their names from a hat. Jujitsu only will continue
th
with NIPPON UK from next week starting on the 13 September (Tuesday) after school.
