Perceived Stress Scale - Website - PDF PDF

The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) is a 10-item questionnaire that measures the perception of stress. It has demonstrated good reliability with Cronbach's alpha between 0.84-0.86 and test-retest reliability of 0.85. Validity correlations with other similar measures range from 0.52-0.76. Scores are calculated by reversing the scores of 4 items and finding the total sum, with higher total scores indicating greater perceived stress levels.
