Log Types
During the operation, generates a lot of running log information.
Collecting, recording sorting, totaling, and storing these log information can effectively help the maintenance personnel to analyze
the overall operation status of system.
At present, provides three types of log services: System log, KPI
log, associated log, MR log, IMSI log, and DSP black box.
System log
System log is used to record the operation information of the
subsystems and boards in system.
KPI log
KPI log is used to record the value of KPI in system, for the
convenience of observing and locating the problem related to
the system performance.
Associated log
Associated log is used to record the detailed processing information about the signaling flow of system. For example, the
processing information of each calling flow in the case of large
traffic.
Supposing that the signaling flow processing fails, the maintenance personnel can find the related associated log information, viewing the processing records and locating the fault
cause.
MR log
MR log is used to record the measurement data related to performance, including data of UE coverage, UE position, cell common measurement.
IMSI log
Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZTE CORPORATION
ZXWR RNC Log Service
IMSI log is related to the use of system signaling trace tool.
When users trace the signaling of a designated IMSI through
the signaling trace tool, the log management automatically
saves the related IMSI signaling data and forwards to the signaling trace software.
DSP black box
DSP black box i sused to record the memory information of the
faulty DSP on the board. The log is generated only when DSP
fault occurs on the board.
Through collecting and analyzing the information, the DSP
black box helps users to analyze and locate DSP fault cause,
to improve the equipment performance.
Log Collection Methods
During the operation, boards and the software subsystems running
on the board generate the log information all the time. These log
information is reported to SBCX board and SBCX board collects,
sorts, and saves all the information.
SBCX board collects the logs through the Log Service software that
runs on the board. According to the preset collection policies, the
Log Service software receives the log information (including the
system log, KPI log, associated log, MR log, IMSI log, and DSP
black box.) from boards, and saves to the corresponding log file.
Log Collection Principles
The log collection is implemented as below:
generates the logs.
The log service software receives and stores the log information from the . When writing the logs, the log service software
stores the logs as different log files according to the type, name
rule, and save path.

OF
SBCX BOARD
As shown in Figure 11, the SBCX board consists of three units:
CPU
CPU includes dual-CPU, south/north bridge chip, memory, hard
disk, and two SAS subcards. Two SAS hard disks can be inserted through the subcard interface and configured as RAID1.
Meanwhile, it provides the external interfaces, including VGA
display interface, PS/2 mouse interface, keyboard interface,
four USB interfaces, control plane FE electrical interface, two
GE interfaces, and three FE interfaces.
Logic processing unit
Implementing all logic processing functions of the board.
Power supply management unit
Implementing the power supply management distribution of
the board.
In actual applications, the log information that RNC other
boards report is sent to the SBCX board through the 100 M
control plane Ethernet interface. SBCX board deals with the
log information through the logic processing unit and then
saves it in the designated hard disk file.
Meanwhile, through the external Ethernet interface, the SBCX
board can connect to the NM server and reports the log information to the NM server. Thus, the user can query the related
log information through the NM server.

Network configurations include setting the network interface IP address of the SBCX board and setting network interface IP address
in the configuration file of the Log Service software.
Set SBCX Network Interface Address
Abstract
The SBCX board provides seven network interfaces: One connects
with the UIM on the same shelf through the backplane, and the
other six network interfaces provide the external network interfaces through the rear card.
Before using the SBCX board, set the IP address for the six network
interfaces, through which to connect with the debugging machine,
hub, or other network device through the network cable.

Note:
Set one IP address in 128 network segment for the network interface, to Ping through the UIM board on the same shelf, thus
ensuring the normal communication with other RNC boards. Test
the six network interfaces one by one until make sure that this
network interface is the one that connects with the UIM board.
Make records of its ID.
