EXT.- OUTSIDE HOUSE- MORNING.

The street is calm and the sun is setting. It is cloudy and


cold.EXT: outside house - afternoon.
HOLLY is in the cellar looking through old photos.
She finds an old book which intrigues her. She dusts it off,
opens it and realises what it is.
MUM
(shouting from upstairs)
What are you doing HOLLY?
HOLLY
looking for some old photos
She goes up stairs quietly
FADE TO BLACK
She is in her bedroom. Begins to re examine the book.
Flicking through it a piece of paper falls out reading "be
careful what you wish for". She hurries to find a pen and
write her first wish in the book I wish I was rich.
CROSS DISSOLVE

INT- HOLLYS BEDROOM - MORNING.

Wakes up to a shock when there is money all over her


bedroom.
Quickly finds the notebook again and writes I wish I was
popular.
CROSS DISSOLVE

EXT.- A STREET- MID MORNING.

From HOLLYS point of view every one says hi to her walking


past. The sun is shining and HOLLY is in a good mood.
CUT

INT- HOLLYS BEDROOM -MID DAY.

Lying down on the bed, HOLLY writes in the book i wish Joe
would notice me.
Twirls hair and thinks about wish soppily.
Walks down into living room and sees mum.
(CONTINUED)

what are you doing?
MUM
Just admiring some old photos like
you were the other day.
FADE TO BLACK

INT.- FRONT DOOR- MORNING.

opens the door to see flowers from joe.


sees note saying "hope you see you at Evas party tonight.
HOLLY is excited.
close door and turns around to find MUM.
MUM
dont forget its your grandmas
birthday today, we are going over
to hers tonight
(angrily)

HOLLY

But mum!!
MUM
(firm)
no buts HOLLY, youre coming!
HOLLY
(frustrated)
I hate you MUM!!
HOLLY runs into her room and angrily wishes shed never been
born into this family.
realises what shes done.
rips out page.
burns page.
CUT TO BLACK

INT- HOLLYS BEDROOM - MORNING.


waking up HOLLY goes downstairs.
realises she isnt in any of photos.
goes into kitchen to check on parents.
sees them there but they cant see her.
negative tests, adoption papers everywhere.
her parents are crying.
