Technology Integration Matrixdigital Story 2

This document is a Technology Integration Matrix that outlines how creating a digital story in a 3rd grade Special Education classroom can address various academic standards and learning theories. The matrix shows how developing a digital story as a class project supports standards in areas like math, reading, writing, science and social studies. It provides examples of how students can apply skills like determining odd/even numbers, describing characters, and distinguishing fact from fiction. The matrix also explains how creating a digital story together promotes skills like communication, critical thinking and problem solving. Developing the story allows for differentiation to meet different learners' needs. The reflection notes that a single digital story project can integrate multiple content areas into a collaborative, technology-based activity

Reflection: I used 3rd grade Special Education standards for this matrix. After creating this matrix, I realized how important and vital creating digital
stories in a classroom together with the students is. By creating one digital story, you are able to touch multiple different content areas with one
project. For example, we are creating a digital story that involves a group of different characters. Math is touched when choosing the group size, and
when members leave the digital story. Reading, writing, and communication comes with the development, characters, plot. History can be touched
by utilizing members of history as our characters. The differentiation of the matrix helps with different students in the classroom to being a true part
of the development of a strong digital story.
