TOPIC: - HOMETOWN

Well! I belong to .. .It is a very beautiful place with a population


of near about half a million people. My hometown is a medium
sized town with a few industries. Mostly, people are engaged in a
small business and agriculture. As, the educational facilities are
limited, student move to other big cities like Patiala and
Chandigarh for higher education.
My hometown has a heterogeneous population and the main
religions are Sikh and Hindu. The city is connected to other
important cities by roads and rails. The city require a lot of
developments in the infrastructure and facilities. It is very
important city not only in my state but also in India. It is unique
combination of old culture and modernization. We have a small
market with fashionable boutiques and tourist attraction points.
Industrially it is very significant at the same time it is the hub of
political activities. I am proud to live in this hometown.
QUE:-What are the main problem faced by city?
ANS:-Well! I am from .,which is medium sized town of the
Punjab . It is no doubt a beautiful town . but it has some problem
like any other city of my country has people of my town are
suffering from a lot because of traffic jams, inadequate
transportation facilities and pollution. Educational and
employment opportunities are less there. Pure water is also an
urgent need of the people of my city pollution is also great
problem in my city.
QUE:- How many changes come in your city recently?
ANS:- We have seen that the civic authorities my city have risen
from long slumber. Now they have starting encroachments and
widening the roads. Public parks have been developed and
beautified. New concepts have given a new face lift to my city.

QUE:-Do you want any improvement in your city?


ANS:- According to me, fly over should be construction to make
traffic smooth and risk free . Pure water should be supplied and
the industries should be shifted out of the city.
QUE:- What are the advantage of living in a city or big
town?
ANS:- There are multifarious benefits of living in a city .
Firstly, local facilities are available for all citizen. As well as,
access to larger shopping mall and various educational and job
facilities are available.
QUE:- What are some of challenges facing town and city?
ANS:- According to me, people are suffering from traffic
congestion and people have suffer from the growth it out of town
supermarkets and retail parks means lot of town center shops are
closing down.
QUE:- Which language people speak in your town/ city?
ANS:- As my village is one village of Punjab . So, most of people
speak only Punjabi ,the local language. Some other speak Hindi
also official language English is used less here.
QUE:- What are the people in your area known for?
ANS:- People in my village are known for their hard work and
simplicity . A part from this they are popular for their rich Punjabi
culture. Most of people in my village are engaged in farming and
other small jobs.
