Task 1

The document describes a mathematics learning center for students to learn about the number five. The center included five group activities: two groups wrote the number five in their school books, one group made a pattern with colored cubes, and the last group made five clay balls. Resources included pencils, school books, cubes, and clay. The primary learning goals were for students to count from one to five, make patterns with five colors, and compare five to other numbers. Students demonstrated different ability levels - mastery by writing five, developing by making patterns or lines, and emerging by making clay balls. The teacher observed students and corrected their work.
