The teacher thanks parents for their support throughout the quarter and invites them to the students' Secret Classmate gift exchange celebration on Friday. The class is also going on a field trip to the Living Coast Center on January 11th and needs 3 parent volunteers who can pay the $10 entrance fee. Homework will alternate between having students read a HOT Topic article or review language arts standards covered in class. The class will be performing a short holiday song at the start of the winter play on December 14th at 2:00pm in the auditorium.

Hi parents I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents for all of
their support throughout this quarter. I am very excited to see the kids excited about
giving their gifts to their Secret Classmate each day. We will have one last celebration this
Friday. It is a time where students will get an opportunity to give and receive and have
some food and refreshments.
In addition, as you have seen we will be going on a fieldtrip Tuesday, January 11th to the
Living Coast Center. We are allowed to take 3 volunteers. Volunteers will need to pay
$10. If you are interested please let me know as soon as possible.

Language Arts

Book Clubs

Homework

Reading- We are focusing on


theme in literature in Spanish.
Writing- We are starting with
expository text in Spanish.

There are many groups that have


finished their book club book in
Spanish and will start reading a
book in English. It is important
that they read for 20 minutes
every day. This includes searching
for vocabulary they dont know
and writing the gist of each page.

Homework will be looking a little different


from now on. One week we will have a HOT
Topic article and the next week we will be
reviewing language art standards that we are
covering in class.

This week we are continuing with multiplying We are continuing to work

Explorers. Depending on how
time they will either present on

when we return from break.

Classroom information:
The 3th grade Dual Immersion students will be performing a winter holiday play next Wednesday, Dec. 14th at 2:00 in the auditorium. We will
be part of the opening act and will sing a short (1 minute) holiday song at the beginning of the play. You are welcome to join us during the
performance. We will be the fifth ones performing. We hope you can make it! I will also be recording it so if you cant make it you will still
see our performance.
Im sorry I have not been able to load the pictures. I will be doing it this break because I will have some help in doing so.
