FOREWORD
Allah (swt) has bestowed each human being with
a lot of favours in this world. Besides, there are
certain troubles and miseries too that become a
part of our lives. To overcome them, man first
resorts to the worldly solutions based on his own
understanding and others’ experiences. By using
these remedies, sometimes he meets with success
and the problems are solved. But on a few
occasions, these remedies do not work and the
problems persist. The man smells mischief. The
needle of suspicion points in different directions.
The relatives are suspected; the neighbours are
suspected; and the partners are suspected. This
suspicion drives him to seek solution from
different sources. The visits to the soothsayers,
spiritual healers, and the sorcerers start.
In the present age of declining values, sincere
people are very rare to be found - be it in any walkLESS EFFORT MORE

of life. In this case too, the genuine spiritual
healers are hard to be found. The professional
practitioners (the commercial types) are available
aplenty. Most of the times, the man becomes a
willing victim of these professionals. And once
he gets caught in their cobweb, it is difficult for
him to free himself from them. He wastes his time:
squanders his money, and sometimes loses his/her
honour and chastity. Faith is the first casualty in
such situations. As he gets deeper in to this
whirlpool, his problems multiply.
It is in this context that I felt the need to make the
teachings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) known to all
and sundry, so that they can save themselves from
getting trapped in to such situations. They can do
their own healing and save themselves from the
clutches of these fleecy professionals.
In this booklet, the starting chapter titled
*‘MANZIL’ contains verses from the Holy
Quran, which is a tried- and- tested remedy and is
of great benefit in the cure against sorcery,
witchcraft etc. Towards the end of ‘MANZIL’,
there are certain supplications which act as a
| panacea against such afflictions.LESS EFFORT MORE
with

Other supplications in this booklet, ifmadea daily
¥ routine, will benefit the man in this world and the
Hereafter.
I am convinced that by making this Prophetic
remedy a routine, one can get rid ofall the troubles
and miseries. But one should have complete faith
in it for it to work. And it should be practiced
regularly.
I pray to Allah (swt) to accept this petty endeavour
of mine. I also pray to Allah (swt) that He (swt)
reward appropriately, each and every person who
has been of help in bringing out this booklet. I also
pray to Allah (swt) that He (swt) reward all those
authors whose books I have benefited from in
compiling this booklet.
Note: Abandoning the regular obligatory prayers
is inviting troubles. Let me make it very clear that
the supplications in this booklet will benefit only
when the obligatory prayers are performed with
regularity.
Seeking blessings,

SUPPLICATION FOR PROTECTION OF FAITH
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (raa) relates that the
Holy Prophet (pbuh) said: "Polytheism is so
deeply entrenched in you people that it is more
invisible than an ant moving on a black stone.
Shall I not teach you a supplication which when
recited will rid you of mild and grave
polytheism?” Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (raa)
said, ‘O Messenger of Allah(pbuh) ! Please teach
us.” The Holy Prophet (pbuh) said: "Invoke this
supplication three times a day.”

HOW TORECITE 'MANZIL
*‘MANZIL’ should be recited in a reasonably low
voice, every morning and evening, or once before
going to sleep. If it is being recited for the
protection of shop, it should be done in the shop.
And if it is being recited for protection of the
house, it should be recited there. Alternatively,
after reciting ‘“MANZIL’, one can also blow overa
pot of water and sprinkle this water in the shop or
in the house. In the case of affliction of jinns and
evil spirits, this practice should be made a routine.
It is better that it is recited twice a day. If not, it
must be recited at least once a day without fail. In
this way, if this routine is continued for 40 days,
and the affected person is made to drink from the
blown-over water, the effects of affliction will
vanish.
In the same way, if there exists a fear of thieves,
robbers, oppressors or if protection from beasts is
sought, this recitation is very effective. It is a
tried-and-tested remedy in getting rid of all types
of troubles and calamities. We ourselves should
recite it, and instruct our women and children toLESS EFFORT MORE

do it. Allah willing, we will get protection from
all types of difficulties and troubles. And will
receive Divine help.
Hazrat Moulana Mohd. Talha (son of Moulana
Zakariah Kandahlvi) writes: “Among our family
elders, ‘MANZIL’ occupied a very special place
in spiritual healing. And we were asked to learn it
by heart in our childhood itself.’
Note: Certain benefits of ‘MANZIL’ which are
derived from Holy Traditions, have been
mentioned in the marginal notes. They should not
be recited as an incantation. These marginal notes
are meant only to highlight their importance.
Ifone needs to recite ‘MANZIL’ without ablution,
he should take care not to touch the verses. He
may hold the book from where the verses are not
printed. But this concession does not apply in
case of touching the Holy Quran.
