TASK 1
(Visual Input) (KCP 20)

Have a look at these pictures. Say where the pictures were taken. What positive and negative
elements of urban life does the material present?
(You are supposed to talk about the picture for approximately 5 minutes.)

TASK 2 (Discussion about the Topic) (KCP 15)

What do you think of the mass media?


What countries do you think have very good media and which do not have such good media?
Is it a good idea for a countrys media to be controlled by the government?
Do you like the fact that todays media coverage of world events is instantaneous and extensive?
Explain.
Would you like to work for the media? Why or why not?
Do you think the media tries to manipulate people or change their views?
(The dialogue between you and the examiner should take approximately 10 minutes.)

TASK 3 (Simulation / Role-play) (KCP 19)

Student A (female): You are a 16-year-old girl. You have a new boyfriend, Jimmy, from the USA, who
is 22. Jimmy didnt finish secondary school, but he makes good money fixing motorcycles. You love
him. Tell your parent (Student B) that you want to marry Jimmy and have his baby.
Student B: Your daughter is the top student in her classes. You want her to go on to become a dentist

wants to talk to you about something.
(You are supposed to have adialogue with your examiner. It should last approximately 5 minutes.)
