ofthetruth(1Tim.3:15).Eachchurchisautonomous(selfgoverning,selfdisciplining,self
supporting,selfpropagating)andstandsonitsownfeetunderitsoneHeadJesusChrist,whichis
whatweseeinActsandtheEpistles.Itsofficersarepastors(alsocalledeldersandbishops)and
deacons(1Tim.3).ItstwoordinancesarebaptismandtheLordsSupper,whichareperformedas
memorialsofChristsdeathandresurrection(Acts2:41421Cor.11:2324).Baptismisfor
believersonlyandisbyimmersionandiscalledaburial(Rom.6:14).Itisnotforsalvationandis
notapartofsalvationbutfollowsaftersalvationasapublictestimonythereofandasapictureof
