(Fear) Dominant type of fear to install in the PCs: An picture of high-

clearance citizen in compromising position the PCs cherish will be destroyed.

(Irrational) General kind of weirdness or irregularity that prompts The

Computer to assign a mission to the Troubleshooters: Changed
perceptions apparent to all citizens. The changed perception is sight.

(Someone) Person, people, organization or agency responsible for the

situation: An Armed Forces director, who mis-keyed some form entries and
mistakenly diverted military resources to "Irrational" effect. (The identity of the
Someone need not be obvious at the mission's outset, and in fact things may
play out more appropriately if the Someone is not discovered until late in the
proceedings.)

(Out To Get You) General apparent threat posed by the situation, or the
consequences if the situation is left unresolved: A high-clearance official's
malfeasance will be exposed, and psychotic, kill-crush-smash-destroy wishes
to frame the Troubleshooters for the official's crime. The threat is real.

Mission Alert: Special "breaking news" bulletin in middle of vidshow: good

part. Identifies PCs by name. Message is intact and correct.

Briefing: Briefing is in private slime farm. Briefing officer is weird invalid (e.g.,
suspended in sound-dampening gel in a swimming pool communicating
through a bizarre array of tubing).

This Mission: We suspect YELLOW historical record corrector (bureaucratic

obstacle, dreamy, dazed, probably a Mystic), who's infiltrating a Technical
Services firm for Internal Security, of being a double-agent for Program Group
lackey for ULTRAVIOLET who orders the PCs to protect his retreat while
fleeing from something. Infiltrate the firm and see where his allegiance lies.

Outfitting: PLC: Office only carries "non-ordinance" items-no weapons or

weapon-like items. Offers PCs a new "Zero-Tolerance" form to sign.

Central Processing Unit Service Service: Fill out a report after each
firefight.

Central Processing Unit Service Service: Devise a Mission Statement (MS)

and Vision Statement (VS) and explain all your actions and choices according
to them.
Internal Security Service Service: PCs don't know that this service is
actually for Internal Security (revise service to covertly further IntSec goals).
The service appears to be: Power Services Service Service: Recruit 10
volunteers for reactor shielding duty.

Central Processing Unit Service Service: Help YELLOW transtube director

to receive well-deserved promotion.

Internal Security Service Service: Openly pretend to be the sworn enemies

of Humanists in order to lure them out.

Internal Security Service Service: On your way, stop in at crowded

confession booth to quell a riot until Crowd Control arrives.

Anti-Mutant Mission: Briefing: Coded dot pattern or stain on floor of empty

IntSec admin offices. Mission: a mission official who is ultimately disposable
(briefing debriefing officer, guy who gives the PCs their service service, PLC
clerk, etc.) is a mutant sympathizer, working to raise registered muties from
second-class citizenship. Kill him!

Communist Mission: Briefing: Instructions printed on back of the PC's

toiletry ration. Mission: Comrade! Rescue someone (One or more PCs'
immediate superior, who has screwed up badly and now wants to pin the
blame on the PC and his fellow Troubleshooters.) from doom at the hands of
the capitalist oppressors and recruit him to our great cause!

FCCC-P Mission: Briefing: Loudspeaker broadcasts message to abandoned

dining area (IR: mess hall; R-Y: cafeteria; G-B: dining room; I-U: dining
hall). Mission: Persuade as many citizens as you can to confess in a
confession booth. Confession is good for the [deleted for security reasons].

Free Enterprise Mission: Briefing: Coded dot pattern or stain on floor of

crowded vidshow entertainment lounge. Mission: Carry large-denomination
plasticred and sell it for the best price you can. We'll give you a commission.

Pro Tech Mission: Briefing: Note in Junior Citizen fort (no Commies
allowed!). Mission: Find a specific Docbot Model 1 in BLUE (Tension 13)
Museum of Famous Forms and use this super-nifty PDC software and cable
to reprogram it to do our bidding.
Romantic Mission: Briefing: Note in Sewer tunnel. Mission: A Gray Subnet
is rumored to have a copy of an Old Reckoning [song/ vidtape/publication].
Download it when you get the chance, would you?

Debriefing: The debriefing officer stands behind a massive, blast-shielded

podium flanked by blue Vulture troopers with plasma generators, while the
PCs sit in brilliant interrogation spotlights that look disconcertingly like
bullseyes.
