Physical Properties
Sodium chloride is soluble in water and has a characteristic taste. It is clear when pure
may appear white, grey or brownish depending on purity. It is slightly soluble in other
liquids.

Sodium Chloride (NaCl) or commonly known as Salt is an ionic crystal consisting of equal
number of sodium and chlorine atoms. Sodium Chloride has cubic crystalline structure.
