Bridging Run Files

The bridging function opens existing run files and saves them with the current software version's format to reduce future opening times by updating items like piston rod coating options. It opens specified run files, saves them with the current name and location, and updates the file format without changing any data, pricing, or option selections saved in the original run file. To bridge files, users open the latest performance program version, select the bridging option from the file menu, browse and select files to bridge, which is best done when the computer is not actively in use.

Bridge Utility Page 1 of 1

Bridging run files

The bridging function was added to simply speed up the time it takes to open an existing run file. It will open
each run file specified, and then save it with the current name in the current location. By running this utility,
items such as the piston rod coating options will be updated to the current configuration, which can substantially
reduce the amount of time required to open the run file in the future. No actual data, pricing or option selections
saved in the run file will be changed; only the format of the run file will be updated.

The bridging procedure consists of:

1. Open latest version of the performance program; version 7.6.3.0

2. Under File pull down menu select Bridging

3. This will bring up the following window:

4. Browse to desired file, folder or drive by clicking ellipsis; check box to include all subfolders in a particular
directory.

5. This procedure is best done when you are not actively using the computer since it can use considerable
resources, and will capture mouse focus from time to time.
