Suspended Basement Slab Design

This document provides design calculations for a suspended basement slab with two-way spanning. It includes definitions of the slab geometry, materials properties, and calculations to determine the required reinforcement for sagging and hogging moments. The slab is restrained on all edges. Calculations determine the maximum design moments, depth and area of tension reinforcement needed for the outer and inner layers of steel resisting both sagging and hogging moments. The provided reinforcement is sufficient based on the calculations.
