REQUIREMENT FOR CS SEAMLESS PIPE API 5L GR.B - 0.5 TO 12 REV

This specification covers the requirements of CS Seamless Pipe to be used for the manufacture of

piping spools as per ASME B31.8. Material shall meet the following standards:
API SPEC 5L - 45TH EDITION, DECEMBER 2012
01-SAMSS-035
IR-175-010700 REV. 05/09/2011
ASME B36.10 LATEST EDITION
ASME B16.25 LATEST EDITION
REQUIREMENT FOR THE MATERIALS :

PIPE MATERIAL SHALL BE API 5L GR.B PSL2 CONFORMING TO 01-SAMSS-035
PIPE MUST BE SUPPLIED IN NORMALIZED CONDITION.
THE SILICON CONTENT SHALL NOT EXCEED 0.40%
THE TITANIUM CONTENT SHALL NOT EXCEED 0.04%
THE VENADIUM CONTENT SHALL NOT EXCEED 0.08%
THE SULFUR CONTENT FOR SEAMLESS PIPE SHALL NOT EXCEED 0.004%
BORON CONTENT MUST BE REPORTED IN THE MILL TEST CERTIFICATE AND SHALL NOT
EXCEED 0.0005%
THE C.E VALUE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM LIMIT 0.43
MATERIAL SHOULD FULFILL THE INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS AS PER FORM 175-010700
EACH PIPE SHALL BE MARKED SAUDI ARAMCO, FOLLOWED BY THE DESTINATION,
PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER/ITEM NUMBER, HEAT NUMBER, LOT NUMBER, SPECIFICATION
NUMBER 01-SAMSS-035 ALONG WITH DATE OF ISSUE.
3 PIPES SHALL BE AS PER ASME B36.10 LATEST EDITION.

MATERIAL SHALL BE FREE FROM CRACKS, SURFACE DEFECTS & PITTING MARKS.

REPAIR BY WELDING IS NOT PERMITTED.

5 PIPE ENDS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY END CAPS/BEVEL PROTECTOR.

6 CERTIFIED MATERIAL TEST CERTIFICATE (IN ENGLISH) SHALL BE AS PER EN 10204. TYPE CL.3.1.

7 LOW STRESS STAMPING SHALL BE FOLLOWED.

8 ALL THE CERTIFICATES SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER AS MENSIONED IN 01-SAMSS-035.

9 INCASE OF OVERSEAS VENDOR PACKING SHALL BE SEA WORTHY.
