a. position aircraft on near level surface.

b. Install an electrical ground lead to electrically ground aircraft
c. Open both inboard cowl doors for each engine
d. Disconnect and cap fuel supply hose at each fuel filter outlet
e. Concert a droin to each fuel filter outlet fitting and place ends of hoses in a fuel container. Size
of fuel container will be determined by the amount of fuel to be drained.
f. Remove fuel tank filler caps from center and outboard tanks.
g. Place master switch in BATTERAY position
h. Place both fuel shut off switches in CENTERtank position.
i. Place both fuel boost pump switches in FUEL BOOTS positions.
j. When center tank is completely drained, repeat step h. for outboard tanks, by selecting
outboard tanks with fuel shutoff switches.
k. When fuel tank are completely drained. Turn fuel boost pump and master switches OFF.
l. Remove drain hose, replace fuel supply hose at each fuel filler, close and latch cowl doors , and
replace fuel tank filler caps
m. Remove electrical ground lead from aircraft

REFUELING

To completely refuel the entire fuel syste, proceed as follows:

a. Check that master switch is in the off position and aircraft is disconnected fromexternal power
source
b. Install an electrical ground lead to electrically ground aircraft.
c. Inspect fuel drain valves for closed position.
d. Remove center fuel tank filler cap and fill center system with 100/300 octane aviation gasoline
until fuel enters fuel tank filler neck. Install fuel tank filler cap.
e. Remove left outboard fuel tank filler cap and add fuel until tank is full. Install fuel tank filler cap.
f. Check and if necessary add fuel to center tank system. Install fuel tank filler cap
g. Remove right outboard fuel tank filler cap and add fuel until tank is full. Install fuel tank filler
cap.
h. Check, and if necessary add fuel to centertank system. Install fuel tank filler cap.
i. Check all fuel tank filler caps for proper installation and security.
j. Rinse all spilled fuel from wing surfaces with water
