CBA Capstone Projects
What is Capstone Project?
A platform for students to apply their classroom learning to real
business problems and leverage the power of data to provide valuable
insights
Salient Features:
• The organization will provide the problem definition and a sample data
• Teams of students will bid for 3 projects stating their proposed approach
and methodology
• Commitment of time by student team (of 3 to 4 members) is about
400 to 500 man-hours across 3 months
• Student teams maintain regular client interaction/ reporting
• Two formal reviews are held by the client, faculty and the CBA program
management all of which contribute to the grades allotted to the team
• Final deliverables from the students will be a report based on the
analysis of a suitably developed model

Important Points
ISB NDA must be signed as is.
Suggest masking of data, creating simulated data sets for protection
of data.
ISB can provide secure online server, if required, where the client
can upload the data and no one else can copy/download it. All analysis
and reports would be done on the server.

direct all queries to them.
Obtaining & Matching Milestones:
• Project Description Submission – December 15, 2017
• Expression of Interest – January 7, 2018
• Final Team Selection – January 15, 2018
• NDA sign off – January 31, 2018
Project Execution:
• Project Charter – February 11, 2018
• Mid project review – March 17 - 18, 2018
• Final report submission – May 6, 2018
• Project presentation – May 12-13, 2018
