ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
PhD Programs:
a. MS/MPhil Degree (18 years of education with research) in relevant discipline from HEC recognized University with minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 CGPA under semester system or 1st Division under annual system.
b. Selection in the respective program will be subject to availability of seats, merit based on academic qualification, valid GRE International / NTS / NUML devised GAT- subject score and interview.
MS/MPhil Programs:
a. Master degree (16 years of education) in relevant discipline from HEC recognized University with minimum 2.5 out of 4.0 CGPA or Grade ‘B’ under semester system or 50 % marks (45% for English and Urdu disciplines) under annual system.
b. Selection in the respective program will be subject to availability of seats, merit based on academic qualification, valid GRE International / NTS / NUML devised GAT- General Score.
c. Applicants with GRE International/GAT-General from NTS will have to pass written/subjective portion of NUML GAT-G (as per schedule of respective Faculties) to secure admission.
Note: Candidates who have not yet qualified relevant GAT from NTS will have to appear in the GAT-General / GAT subject arranged by NUML for admission in the offered programs for which an additional challan form of Rs. 1200/- be submitted along with
admission form.

Special Certificate-II: Matriculation with Special Certificate-I in the target language from NUML OR Equivalent.
Certificate in Urdu Language (for Foreigners): Matriculation with Foundation course from NUML OR Matriculation with Basic knowledge (writing & reading) of language OR Equivalent.
Arabic Spoken & Grammar: Matriculation OR Equivalent.
Chinese HSK Course: Intermediate 2nd Div.
INSTRUCTIONS:-
The applicants (undergraduate programs) who have already qualified / cleared the test from Education Testing Council (ETC) – HEC will be exempted from NUML devised test. However, they will have to appear in interview as per schedule.

Print out of online admission form + bank challan along with educational documents (attested from Gazetted Officer) i.e. DMCs/degrees (in case of result awaited, copy of Roll No. Slip of last exams and an Undertaking on the Stamp Paper as per pattern mentioned in the admission
form), CNIC/Form-B, domicile, ETC result card if already cleared, 3 x photographs and paid bank receipt of Rs.1000/- must reach by registered / courier etc at University address: National University of Modern Languages, Sector H-9, Islamabad.
Application received by hand / after due date/ incomplete form will not be accepted / entertained.
5% seats in each program have been reserved for war wounded personnel of Armed Forces / Civil Forces and 10% seats for FATA / Balochistan students:

Scholarship for Position Holders will be awarded to position holders of Board / University subject to conditions (available on NUML website). Needs based scholarships are also available.
Hostel Facility: Limited hostel accommodation is available at Main Campus Islamabad. Students can collect hostel application form from the office of Director Students Affairs, after submission of semester / course fee.
Fee Refund: According to Fee Refund Policy i.e. 100% within 1st week, 50% within 2nd week, no refund after fifteen (15) days of commencement of semester / session.
Provisional Admissions: If the candidate fails to provide the last result till 13 Feb 2018 OR fails to get required percentage for admission OR degree / certificate proves to be fake / unrecognized - his / her Provisional Admissions will be automatically cancelled.
Transport Facility available on specific routes in Rawalpindi / Islamabad and Wah / Taxila on payment.
University is not obliged to start a program in a particular discipline if it finds any constraint. Admission will stand cancelled at any stage without any notice if a student fails to fulfil eligibility criteria.
